MOL Logistics Holding (Europe) opens representative office in Dubai

TOKYO - MOL Logistics (Japan) Co., Ltd. (President: Shuhei Togo) announced today that its European regional headquarters, MOL Logistics Holding (Europe) B.V., has opened a representative office in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (U.A.E.).

MOL Logistics is proactively expanding its business in emerging markets in line with its medium-term business plan. The company opened a branch in Nairobi in May 2017 and established a subsidiary in Sri Lanka in April 2018. In May of the same year, a new agency agreement was signed in Oman with the aim of further expanding the company's business in the region. The United Arab Emirates is considered a central logistics hub with strong connections to the African market, among others.

Dubai is the second largest economy in the U.A.E. after Abu Dhabi, has one of the largest ports in the world, one of the most modern international airports in the form of Dubai International Airport and is thus a trading and logistics centre for countries in the Middle East and Africa.

The tasks of the representative office in the Jebel Ali Free Zone include the expansion of local business intelligence on transactions in the Middle East, the expansion of local freight and logistics services, as well as the further improvement of services for the East African markets in cooperation with the Nairobi office.

MOL Logistics continuously develops and expands its global logistics network and meets a wide range of logistics needs in close cooperation with its customers.
